This is particularly relevant for July 2021 as it goes through the easing of the lockdown restrictions in the UK. This 15-20 minute presentation outlines some basic first aid for KS3, KS4 and KS5 students. It was originally used as a PSHE tutor time session. It is based on the BBC First Aid videos which only work in the UK and includes discussion questions and no written tasks. This follows the Basic First Aid part of the new RSE & Health Curriculum and teaches students how to complete CPR, deal with bleeding and shock and bone fractures.This could also be used as a whole school assembly to improve their health knowledge and PSHE provision. Students reacted very well to this session.
